Unification Medicine Buddha - Daegue

The 17 meter high Unification Medicine Buddha (Yaksayeorae-bul) was completed in November 1992. Created in the hopes of re-unifying the Korean peninsula, it stands in the grounds of the Doughwasa Temple. A Jogye Order temple, Doughwasa, is located on the southern slopes of the 1193 meter high Mt Palgongsan, northern Daegue.
