Sacophagus of Columbus - Seville
Christopher Columbus died in 1506. Three years later his body was moved to a monastrey near Seville. In 1537, his body was agained moved, this time to the cathedral of Santa Maria la Menor in Santo Domingo. It stayed there until the French took control in 1795. Then it was moved to Cuba. In 1898 the Spanish lost control of Cuba and his remains were moved to Seville Cathedral.
