Matsumoto Castle, is sometimes called the crow castle because of its black exterior. It is one of Japan’s major historical castles. The other two are Himeji and the earthquake damaged Kumamoto. Inside are exhibits of weapons and armours dating to the period of the Tokugawa Shogunate (1600-1868).
