Dotonbori - Osaka

Dotonbori is the main shopping district of Minami, Osaka. Its name comes from "Doton Yasui" who used his personal wealth to have the river dredged in 1612. Initially an area for Kabuku theatre and tea-houses, today it is famous for its vast array of eateries and entertainment areas.
