Restoration Alley - Bucharest
Stone statues in the Restoration Alley leading to the Modura fountain, Bucharest, Romania. There are ten statues on each side of the alley. Female figures represent peasants from Muscel and Mehedinti with jugs on their heads. When the future King Carol's II plane was forced to land near the village of Vadu Crișului, Romania, on June 6th, 1930, a girl name Modura gave him a drink of water from a clay jug.
