Golden Triangle

The so-called Golden Triangle is the area where the borders of Thailand, Myanmar and Laos intersect. The larger river is the Mekong, the smaller river is the Ruak. Thailand is the area in the bottom of image. Myanmar is across the Ruak and on the left (west) side of the Mekong. Laos, is on the right (east) side of the Mekong. Some of the larger boats on the Mekong travel into China.
