Kanazawa Castle - Kanazawa

Kanawaza Castle
Kanazawa Castlle from 1583 to the end of the Edo Period (1867) was the seat of the Maeda Clan, second only to the Tokugawa in wealth and power. The castle has burned down many times over the centuries and for several decades was the grounds of Kanazawa University. Today the castle is being restored. Inside is a scale model and several exhibits showing the various joints used for castle construction.
