Kimonos - Kyoto

On the grounds of Buddhist temples and Shinto shrines in Kyoto many Japanese women will be seen wearing the kimono. A symbol of good fortune and longevity they are rarely worn in everyday life, instead, are reserved for special occasions such as weddings, funerals, university graduations, tea ceremonies and special events.
