Odori Park - Sapporo

Oderi Park in central Sapporo is 1.5 kilometers long and covers 78,901 m². Originally meant to be a main street it was gradually converted into a park. The Sapporo TV tower was erected in 1957. Note the sculptures of the three ballerinas with their backs to each other. They were created by local sculptor, Shin Hongo.
