Theotokos Cathedral - Varna
The Dormition of the Mother of God Cathedral, an eastern Orthodox cathedral, is the largest cathedral in Varna and third largest in Bulgaria. Officially opened in 1886, the first stone was laid in 1880. The name, Dormition of Theotokos, was in memory of Russian Empress consort Maria Alexandrovna, a benefactress of Bulgaria.
